Critic Reviews for Scrubs Season 6
All Critics (7) | Top Critics (4) | Fresh (5) | Rotten (2)
The wackiness reached an obvious limit late in that year, and when the writers tried to dial it back last season, J.D. was no longer a recognizable human being who could work in more down-to-earth stories.
It's as if the show is simply giving me stuff it knows I want, and I always bristle a bit at that approach.
Bill Lawrence shows don't have to be for everyone; they can just be perfect for me. They're clever, but not self-congratulatory. There's a winning energy at the best of times-an infectious "let's put on a show" spirit.
A show in its sixth season is often pressed to take extreme measures...there are worse ways to spend a half-hour.
Season Six is the same medical lunacy and drama of established Scrubs trademarks -- heck, it might be the most inspired the show's been in several seasons.
I cannot say enough great things about the season six episode, My Musical, which was nominated for 5 Emmy awards.
It's commendable that as a series, Scrubs has managed to maintain much of its energy and continues to push the envelope on how far it's willing to go with its comedy.
Audience Reviews for Scrubs: Season 6

Feb 12, 2020One of the very, very few comedy shows the last couple of decades with actual laugh out loud moments. And the occational gut punch. Brilliant.
-
Aug 09, 2014Can't give this one a perfect score due to the fact that a lot of cast changes in the end didn't hold it together that well. Even if it is one of the best comedies of all time. Yes bold statement, but it really is. A truly talented cast with all hard hitters up till almost the end. That's including what was to be the 9th season revival that couldn't take off.

May 14, 2014Season six of Scrubs is the last complete season Scrubs has to offer with all of the life lessons and humor of the classic Scrubs; unfortunately, it's just gotten a bit old at this point. This season is all about parenting, whether it be Turk and Carla's baby, J.D. and Kim's pregnancy, or Dr. Cox and Jordan's kid. This is yet another classic Scrubs season, but with less sizzle than previous ones.
