Rupert Grint still impresses as Dorothy's wine-swilling, foul-mouthed brother, Julian (wash your mouth out, Ron Weasley!). And Ambrose releases the throttle fully for a performance of even more delicious derangement.

Though "Servant" often reads like a comedy that thinks it's a thriller, there are still some genuinely chilling scenes... Though much of the enjoyment that "Servant" could deliver is hampered by how it chooses to tell its story.

Maybe you'll get a jolt out of the white nonsense at play in these new installments. Prevalent as it was before, the second season blows it up to the magnitude of a kaijū capable of leveling cities. You can't fail to notice it.

To say where the show goes in its second season would be to quickly enter spoiler territory; by the end of the third episode, enough startling twists have generated sufficient material for an average series' entire season.

The sophomore season seems to be building steadily toward another chaotic and awful reckoning with Leanne, and this is one nightmare I'm in no rush to escape.
