Will this show become a rite of passage of sexually curious teens as they begin to test those unsteady waters? Who knows? But it can't hurt. Unless we don't let them watch it. Go to Full Review

As with previous iterations of "Explained" you won't leave this series as an expert, per se, on any one topic, but it's certainly an entertaining and informative start to some more adult-oriented sex education. Go to Full Review

The series is a valuable tool. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The easily digestible, approximately 20-minute episodes, bursting with colorful animations and engaging interviews, cover basic information about subjects like fertility, birth control, and attraction. Go to Full Review

Sex, Explained isn't going to give you encyclopedic knowledge of sex and attraction, but it's entertaining enough and informative enough to watch when you can't think of something scripted to turn on. Go to Full Review

02/06/2020 Really Good explained! See more 01/09/2020 politically manipulative and very boring See more 01/06/2020 To be honest, it lost me in the first episode after they explained their definition of what they consider orgies and gangbangs being "a type of orgy where a lot of men usually have sex with the same woman." After that it proceeds into episodes with non stop talking about how to make a baby and I started snoring. I thought we were going to talk about sex and it's pleasure aspect not going through health class again. I am sorry I did not care for reproductive information as a gay male. Lol maybe moving on to the Witcher or Dracula. See more 01/06/2020 Dull, and not the least bit informative. Sex is supposed to be exciting, and in their misguided attempt to take the taboo out of it, they managed to make sex seem incredibly boring. See more 01/06/2020 Liked everything about this series, particularly the episode on birth control. The topics covered are so important and are not particularly covered by formal education (schools). Eye opening and engaging as well as well narrated and written. A must see for anyone; male or female, taking part or thinking of taking part in sex. See more 01/04/2020 Episode 1: Basic, but I'm sure great for folks who can't think beyond their genitalia. Also, it's not John-ruh. It's zhaan·ruh (Americanization of French word) for god's sake. Let's revisit the term "Rape Culture." A society or environment whose prevailing social attitudes have the effect of normalizing or trivializing sexual assault and abuse. I felt that episode 1 might lend unfortunate credence to the latter. See more Read all reviews
