Like all the best detective dramas, Shetland engages the audience in the very process of detection. Go to Full Review

I know the show is beloved, and I know it has been sold all over the world, but the fact is: they are terrible detectives. Hopeless. Quite the worst. Go to Full Review

Shetland is always satisfying fare for its North Sea noir feel and lonely landscapes, but it's that bit richer for its subtle depiction of Perez's home life. Go to Full Review

Normally I'd be mounting my high horse to rage about such an offensive lack of imagination. But Tosh's attack, or rather its effects and consequences, were dealt with brilliantly by writer Gaby Chiappe. Go to Full Review

Karl N @RT02655090 Jan 22 We really enjoyed the first couple seasons. It’s gone woke like the rest. See more Tom S @Acewrite13 12/11/2023 At it's worst it's like Victorian melodrama, but at it's best it's like Shakespearean tragedy. It happens to many a show, at a certain point, in its latter stages they decide that entertainment is more important than a more understated grip on reality. This season is so jam-packed with contrivance that it really stretches the premise that all these things could happen in such a quiet little community. But ultimately it's the characters and the actors' commitment to them that makes it never less that thrilling viewing. See more Anita F @RT48915707 08/28/2023 This is the best series on now. I love all the characters and the acting is brilliant. See more Lane M @RT31121284 08/11/2023 Excellent, every season gets better- See more Marcus K @RT52414507 04/13/2023 Stimmige, spannende Krimiserie mit tollen Figuren und einer gut erzählten Handlung vor der großartigen Kulisse der Shetland Inseln. Must see! See more 12/28/2021 Excellent crime/mystery series with enjoyable characters and stunning locations and landscapes. See more Read all reviews
