An emotional roller coaster from start to finish, Shrill's final season closes a chapter in Annie's life, but leaves the door open for future opportunities.

In three seasons with Fran, the show surprised me...and gave her the joy she deserved. Go to Full Review

Aidy Bryant's Hulu comedy saved the best for last. Its third and final season is a superb sendoff, featuring some of the actress's best work, along with banner scripts from the writers. Go to Full Review

In a final season that largely centers on ideas of personal growth and closure, Shrill excels at showing how accepting your body is a start-and-stop process with some occasional missteps, something that mirrors the pacing of the third season as whole. Go to Full Review

There’s something inspiring about a comedy that gets better with every successive season, which is partially why it’s so hard to write about Shrill’s third season. Go to Full Review

Annie's personal and heartbreaking experiences have an inescapable tone of truth. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

An entire season of no conflicts and Shrill's series finale ends with a mess of loose ends, that makes it feel like all Annie's and Fran's personal accomplishments have amounted to nothing and leaves viewers with no resolution. Go to Full Review

01/13/2022 Oh god, it was so cool to see how it all ended. It's an interesting and minimalist story and one that many people identify with the protagonist's dilemmas. The ending was nice, the plot would guarantee a new season, but the outcome was right. See more 06/07/2021 This series started with clever writing and an ethical quandary. Now it's lazy writing about creepy sex. I quit watching it. See more 06/06/2021 OMG I can't believe the reviews! I honestly laughed sooo hard with this season! I thought it was hilarious! Usually, most shows, by season 3 they're blah, but I thought these guys did an excellent job with season 3! Can't wait for season 4! See more 05/17/2021 I love Aidy, but this final season was a little disappointing to me, if I'm being honest. Annie lashed out a few times in what I felt were a bit uncharacteristic scenes for her, and acted a bit childish several times. I expected and hoped that she wouldn't self sabotage her relationship at the end with Will, for the finale....but maybe it was more realistic that the two fat girls lacked the self confidence at the end not to sabotage their relationships, but it made me a little sad for them. See more 05/13/2021 Best season yet! Hope we get so many more :) See more 05/10/2021 Shrill continues to improve each year, and this latest season is without question its most heartfelt yet. Dealing primarily with relationship issues, Shrill gets into plenty of dicey territory in regards to the ethics of modern dating, and stay Aidy Bryant really gives her all in a role that is evidently very personal to her. The writers also give us no shortage of bright scenarios this year, with highlights including a trip to a separatist community and a flashback episode that shows how Annie lost her virginity, given us a show that's sweet, sexy and sharp in equal measures. Funny and socially conscious as ever, Shrill is one of the better comedies currently airing, and also one that I wouldn't hesitate to call punk as fuck! See more Read all reviews
