Nate, a budding restaurateur, returns from a business trip to find that his recently separated mother, Lydia (Krista Allen), has started dating his best friend and roommate, a Lothario named Jimmy. Things get worse when Nate's father, Harrison, suddenly becomes interested in Lydia again and is willing to do whatever it takes to win her back, even of it means using his son. As Jimmy navigates his first serious relationship, Nate is stuck in the middle of a family feud -- and finds that his own romantic life is severely handicapped.

Truly, there's little here that inspires much beyond irritated indifference. Go to Full Review

The one-note premise wears thin very quickly because there is no way that anyone can root for the relationship at the center of it. It is not cool to sleep with your best friend's parent. Go to Full Review

The oddest thing about Significant Mother: how hard the show tries to be hip. This, in turn, makes it feel inherently unhip. Go to Full Review

The performances by the whole cast is bad. The directing and screenplay is terrible for my opinion. "I have to report that "Significant Mother" is not a must see TV show."
