Good to see Silent Witness continues to be home to incredible plots and characters who go wildly beyond their remit in pursuit of justice. Still, if it ain’t broke and all that. Go to Full Review

07/26/2022 A bit confusing but I continue to love the depth of the science, the mystery, and unlike some, the acting. Have been a fan since I discovered it while looking for Covid binge. Started with season 1. Good to see Sam again. Will not spoil.... See more Clive T 07/11/2022 I admit I haven't watched all the previous series, but if you like your details to be right, then this is a mess. In one episode a) Jack loses his pass (it's been stolen), his pass to this highly secure, important world renowned laboratory. So he gets it cancelled straight away? No, he shrugs and leaves. b) 'bad guy' gets in using the stolen pass and goes straight to Nikki's computer, which she has left on and it apparently hasn't even got a *&^% password! He wipes all her data. c) this is all on her drive and not backed up anywhere. So far, even a standard, none to secure IT Department would be having an inquiry into incompetence and unprofessional behaviour, but they seem to sail past it. d) at the entrance some bod just left the security gates and remembers something, and he just walks back in. He's a visitor, no pass or anything; so what are the gates for? I didn't watch any more, with such poor writing I figured it wasn't worth the candle. See more 07/04/2022 The fact that this series has been running for 25 seasons with multiple changes in personnel over that period tells you that the formula works. Yes, the depth of involvement in cases is stretching things a lot but the science is mostly reasonably sound and the fact that the latter series spread each story over two episodes allows a lot more scope to develop them. The only negative is that sometimes there is too much focus on 'crises' in the lives of the characters that detracts from the story and can be frustrating but they don't do that very often across the 232 episodes so far (to 2022).
