…as with Lost, there’s something about the way that this particular predicament is patiently explored that gives it some philosophical and intellectual heft…one hopes that Silo, unlike Lost, has some good answers for the questions it poses…

Peppered with a fantastic cast of character actors, terrific directing, and the promise of a bigger future, Silo is one of my favorite new series in a long while. A rich dystopian fantasy that deserves all the praise it gets.

Silo Season 1 is a highly interesting dystopian thriller anchored by a truly great cast that brings its confined world to life. The story is genuinely gripping, weaving a fantastic mystery that easily keeps you hooked from the first episode to the last.

Thank god this show is set in an alternate reality. Surely there is no lesson to be learned in our timeline regarding the siloing of knowledge, the results of losing memory of the past, and blind obedience to a book!

Season ! was not in any way original, and I suppose to compenste for that, it focused on a murder mystery... which was not interesting. The undeground society does not make logistical sense, and neither does the plot. I'm disappointed this garnered high reviews; it's a cut-and-paste "after the apocalypse" story, and is just... boring. I couldn't bing myself to finish season one past the 7th episode.

I would love to rate this higher, as I do enjoy the show, (and season 3 is finally improving after a pretty lame 4-5 episode slow start). But gosh, the horrible written, misplaced, over-used f-words at the most uncommon times by educated people is really annoying. Plus, the same-gender relationship that the production company so often feels they must include in this third season that feels very unnecessary. But, I'm still interested in how it ends - but new viewers should know what they're getting into.
