Zero stars. Netflix needs to step up their game. Two plastic looking typical LA barbie doll presenters, more interested in promoting themselves and their products than the people on their show. Several of the candidates are so-called Insta influencers so not very credible. Also in the after shots the candidates are in full glam makeup and with heavy filters, not a fair comparison. This is not a show about body positivity and how to feel good on the inside, this is just another show promoting expensive and unnecessary procedures.

It was amazing! Final episode was a 2/5 but the previous episodes were epic. It was about time to see two empowered women take control of what beauty and self-care is.
  • Jul 26, 2020
Terrible. The women participating in this show are all beautiful, before and after. The procedures they have done I don't have a problem with either. But this show is too fake. The bright light camera shots and hazy filters they use on the "after" shots is almost comical. It's unfair to people who pour thousands into these procedures, (who often can't really afford it in the first place) - and don't get the results they want - because they were tricked with lighting and cameras. And so then you wonder what the heck is the point of the show then.

Entertaining + learned a lot. BUT- the "after" shots are so CLEARLY done with makeup. How can you claim to have cleaned up someones acne when in the after shot, you had to cover him in makeup to hide the acne?? Also, a bit repetitive. + overly emotional. Would be better if they had longer shots of the surgeries/gunk removals etc. AND if the after shots were honest.

I love the combo of these two women and the consideration they put into each patient! Life is hard, and I appreciate that the "makeovers" help align the self perceptions of the patients with their spirits. Who we are inside is so much more than what the world sees externally. Thank you Netflix!

Omg I just binge watched the whole season and I absolutely LOVED it! I was so sad it was over. It was so inspiring to see each story and how these lovely ladies improved these peoples lives in a way that looks so natural. Keep up the good job Netflix, you've got some amazing shows I can't wait for season 2 on!

It is a show for women, by women. I knew I was going to love it after watching 5 minutes. It is definitely a tear-jerker and it's a beautiful insight into how cosmetic surgery can be a form of healing for many.

Like in real life, perfection's not the goal, progress is.
  • Jul 17, 2020
Nice to see the transformations but disappointed with a lot of the afters where the make up is caked on, especially on men... Just gives me a fake result!
  • Jul 16, 2020
This show is so boring and overproduced. The duo of Nurse Jamie and Dr. Nazarian is awful. Especially Dr. Nazarian. She comes across fake and insincere. Dr. Nazarian seems to have little regard to what the patient actually wants. She's only there for the cameras.
