Smiling Friends Inc. is a small company whose main purpose is to bring happiness and make people smile. The series follows the day-to-day lives and misadventures of its representatives, the lazy, cynical Charlie, and the cheerful, optimistic Pim, as they try to cheer up and comfort the troubled people who call their company's hotline. They receive seemingly simple requests but the jobs turn out to be more complicated than they seem, making it difficult to bring happiness to the world.

William S @Creatune Apr 16 Smiling Friends is a great Adult Swim sitcom show from animator Michael Cusack and media personality Zach Hadel (psychicpebbles). The first season has taken me by surprise with all the realistic conversation feels, the randomness of the show, and some of the wackiest characters, and I love what they did with their comedic skills. The show is so unpredictable in its humor and that’s what makes it fun to watch. The main cast is great too with all four smiling friends (and their boss) being extremely memorable and funny. The show is also good at having things come full circle, a plot line or gag you thought was unimportant at the beginning of the episode plays a vital part in its conclusion. It catches you off guard every time and it’s really clever. The show is also great at mixing a bunch of animation styles together. But the episodes were not super consistent with some episodes being way funnier than others. If the season was 20 episodes long it wouldn’t be a big deal but it’s only 8 twelve minute episodes. While this is only my review of S1 I’m in the middle of S2 right now and it’s mostly the same (although it does fix consistency problems) and I’m assuming S3 will be too. So consider this my review of the entire show Edit: finished the show. It is amazing. 9/10 at LEAST.
