Snatches all at once is a jarring, even upsetting experience -- but then again, that's the point... each woman demands her audience's full attention, having rarely been afforded the luxury of such consideration before.

If this sounds worthy, it's not - it's too clever for that. And each episode is just 15 minutes long (perfect for short millennial attention spans).

Not only were they on the stagey side, they were also on the joyless side, being issue-driven rather than character-led.

[Siobhan Finneran's] performance as the accused mother, convicted on an "expert's" statistical calculations, throbbed with quiet fury, although the end wasn't quite as strong as the beginning.
