Giovanni Ribisi plays the role of Marius, a con man who tries to leave his old life behind by assuming the identity of his cell mate, Pete. While Pete's family doesn't have reason to suspect that he is not their long-lost loved one, they are a colorful group with their own secrets and lies that could make life as dangerous as the world Marius was hoping to escape. Marius must find a way to keep his lies from backfiring as he deals with unexpected situations that come his way. Executive producers include Graham Yost and Bryan Cranston.

Sneaky Pete is indeed pretty sneaky. At first you're rolling your eyes at what seems an absurd stretch of a premise, but soon enough you're buying its always-on-edge predicaments and after a few episodes you're hooked into its story-upon-story acrobatics.

It's gritty, hard hearted and violent as it glorifies Ribisi's character's manipulative, con artist lifestyle. Can't say I enjoyed it. Honestly, aren't things scary enough IRL?

Loved it! Yes, it's a far fetched story, but it works because the characters are fully formed and the performances are strong. They feel like ordinary people, with very complicated lives and you care what happens to them. It's well paced and full of twists and turns.

Very good first season. Not sure if I am enthralled enough to want to dive right into Season 2. Enjoyed a lot of the characters and actors, even the ones who were annoying at first came around and had their own moments. The cons were pretty good, most of it I was surprised when they did the reveal which was good that it wasn't predictable. The one thing that takes away from the review a little is the constant tv show thing of introducing unnecessary hurdles. Like yeah some of the things that delay Marius from doing what he needs to do were good for story or plot, but sometimes things would happen that just felt like these existed to delay the story a couple more episodes. Otherwise a very enjoyable story and very good conclusion in which it felt like even though there was plans for more seasons, the main stories all concluded in the final episode.
