Season is just as good as season 1, and feels like they've got the hang of things, the most interesting storyline is still The Wall where things are really getting interesting

It's just rick and morty except far less clever, funny and adventurous.

In trying to make fun of the predictability of sitcoms, the show itself becomes a played-out slog. The best part of this show is still the tiny world B-plot. Mostly the show just feels like a cynical and predictable parody of a sci-fi sitcom you've never seen. Just like Rick and Morty, the show gets less interesting as the meta-joke wears out it's welcome and the episodes feel aimless.

Terrific Season! Season 2 of Solar Opposites, in my opinion, is superior to season 1. More emphasis is placed on the Solar Opposites as a team and family, and how they can cooperate. The Wall's narrative is also expanded this season, becoming a more character-driven journey. The second season of Solar Opposites is great all the way through.

I don't know how the creators of one of my favorite shows can make such a boring show. R+M just blows away any expectations with its irreverence and parody of the sci-fi genre. Solar Opposites just falls into basic sitcom formula. The "Rick" type of character is like Rick. He's a scientist, but instead of being confident and apathetic, he's a lame guy who's a stickler for the rules. His partner is a guy who is the opposite (hence the name of the show) who is lazy and eats cereal with a fork. Supposedly these two are supposed to play off one another in an Odd Couple kind of way, but it mostly comes off as a very tame network TV sitcom humor. The other two characters are kids. One is basically Louise from Bob's Burgers and the other is a teen boy. They get into high school type TV sitcom hijinks that are neither original nor funny. The whole series falls flat and I find myself not even excited to watch the next episode. I seriously can't fathom how this came from the same R+M talent.
