Sons of Anarchy features some of the most interesting female characters and relationships between women of the anti-hero television age.

While the show might not always be easy viewing, it's great TV nonetheless.

A complex and well-built drama that leaves the viewer wondering if there's enough humanity here to make the hard-boiled stories worth following.

Sep 3, 2008 | Full Review…

There are enough compelling pieces here, and the setting is novel enough - this is a different type of organized crime than what you usually see on TV - that Sons could eventually be a worthy heir to The Shield.

I think it has real potential to become a solid dramatic addition to the FX slate.

Sons of Anarchy uses its pilot to map out a strong story line, one that will likely remain consistent through the show's finale.

The biker drama gives you Jimmy Smits in a jaw-dropping, change-of-pace role.

This isn't good enough to recommend without reservation - but if you need to get your manliness on - this might be just the thing.

Holy emotional ball - errr, body? - of fire, that was intense.

Sep 3, 2008 | Rating: 4.5/5 | Full Review…

Gritty and occasionally violent, as The Shield prepares to bow out, Sons should capably fill the smart, testosterone-fueled void.

Sep 3, 2008 | Full Review…

Sons Of Anarchy is part of a recent trend to darker, harder TV drama that requires more than just gripping storylines. It definitely has that, but it also requires a cast able to portray each character realistically. We've definitely got that here!

A powerful drama dealing with many unpleasant topics - from gun running to vigilante justice. I haven't seen anything quite like it on television in years.

Really good introduction to a series

The show is pretty good overall. Jax wearing "nursing shoes" throughout is a little disconcerting, though I sympathize with the actor having hip replacement surgery (the reason he walks the way he does, swaying back and forth). The storyline of Abel getting kidnapped is a little bit drawn out in Season 3, but otherwise it is a strong show. 84% of all the dialogue from all seasons: Jesus. Jesus! Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ. Sh*t. I get it. Sweetheart. I know baby.

Greatest Series ever. Makes Breaking Bad look like Bambi.

What an ending to Season 1

I never watched any job from Kurt Sutter before watching SOA, this is a great drama-action series and I think that this has to be in your collection if you like this type of bad guy-good guy stories. First of all, it represents a lot of the mc world. Kurt portrays it very well. He knows how to introduce its characters and how to tell you the story without letting you know too much. Since the first episode, there are background stories that you get caught up in and makes you want to see more. It seems like if Kurt had this story well planned. Since the first episodes, you can really feel the brotherhood of all the members and how they defend their mc besides everything. the mc colors and vests are really well designed. It all happens in a fictional town called "Charming" and it really gives you the fell of being in that little Village/town where almost all of their residents know each other. Charlie (Jax) and Ron (Clay) are perfect for their roles and really interpret their characters personality and how I think Kurt wanted them to be, and can say a lot more about Katey (Gemma), she made an acting deserving of some award or something, also, you got to love gemm's clothing style. If you want to get in love with a new tv series and really want to have a good story to follow up for the next days (or months), Sons of Anarchy is really something you should see.
