Waleed A Nov 10 An absolute waste of time with no ending See more Ngawai M Jun 4 It’s a pretty hard watch if you don’t like predictability. What could have been a good story was just a bunch of awful cliches that leaned heavily on the gore to add interest. Little to no character development. Every character was one dimensional & altogether unlikeable. On top of that, there were WAY too many plot holes. Including the child of the kingpin who spent most of the show unsupervised... with a zombie right there. seriously? Nothing made sense or gelled together to form a cohesive story. It’s just not a good show. See more 09/09/2021 The story revolves around a Mexican kingpin who has escaped prison. What I liked about this series is the zombies were intelligent, making them terrifying and unpredictable. I don't want to give too much away. But, if you like zombie flicks, you will love this series. See more 09/07/2021 The story line and concept are interesting, with potential for more. Sadly the writing, acting and poor production budget dooms stand in the way. The U.S. military are just all wrong. Why not hire a military advisor and do it right. The uniforms, insignias, vehicles and so on and so on are laughable. Where was the budget? How can you get it so wrong? Its obvious that most of the attention was placed on the Narcos. That they got right. No question about that. But, this story aims for more, clearly and falls short of its potential. The director is seasoned in horror and supernatural stories, thats what is so surprising, how the quality can be so poor when other projects he's worked on are far better. All in all it's a great effort that sadly wastes talent and concept, and instead we get more of the same tropes. The military experiment gone wrong. A mad scientist that places no value on human life. The same need to turn humans into super soldiers. On and on, we experience nothing new. The story is not fresh and adds no value to the genre. Its a hard pass for me. See more 08/31/2021 A bunch of fun, fast paced, OK story line, not great acting or dialogs but with that title you know where you're getting into. See more 08/30/2021 Imagine if Nacho and his crew from Better Call Saul were hiding out in a sweet place in the desert, then zombies turned up. With good writing and acting, characters you care about, a surprisingly thoughtful story. And, a very Mexican point of view; I think we see Mexico through Mexican eyes, which is worth the price of admission alone. Now I like zombie shows, and don't mind slumming it in this genre (you kind of have to). When I saw the name of the show, I thought, ok, cheap rubbish, but let's give it a go. What a good decision! I was sucked in pretty quickly, and had to binge watch the whole thing. Look, it's no Kingdom. Korean zombies still beat Mexican zombies. But it's a lot better than The Walking Dead. If you like Breaking Bad but wish it had more zombies, this is for you, gringos! See more Read all reviews
