Maybe I am remembering the old Spitting Image I relished through rose-tinted spectacles; the original certainly had its hits and misses. But this was all so mild, barely ruffling a solitary government feather I imagine. Go to Full Review

You can happily enjoy all that creativity while you wait for the next joke to pull in. The show just needs some more lively, politically astute writing. 'Twas ever thus. Go to Full Review

Boasting more hits than misses, this opening salvo suggests that Spitting Image still has some fire lurking in its belly. Go to Full Review

09/03/2021 A horrid, sickly, pale imitation of the original. I would say it punches down, but I don't believe it included any jokes to warrant that accusation. Some questionably designed puppets. Apparently it has somehow been commissioned for a second series, which makes me think God has abandoned us See more 07/29/2021 A fun show that takes jabs equally at all events, things and politicians or celebrities of 2020, actually making them more likeable than the real life counterparts. See more 05/07/2021 In the current state of the world with political figures like Trump who are already satirical it is hard to pull off something like this but they've done it. 30 years later we are almost desensitised to the close to the boundary comedy of spitting image so they've had to attempt to push the limits even further which isn't hard in a world where everyone is offended spitting image is still able to satire and lampoon today's world. See more 11/29/2020 It's not the clever or satirical Spitting Image you remember from the 80s; it's mean, and in some cases just gross. Zero subtlety and even fewer legitimate laughs. See more 11/17/2020 So seeing as the "top critics" have judged this rotten it just cements my view that they are utterly unworthy to curate our collective culture. No matter your politics the renewed spitting image is just as cutting as the original if not more. Noone escapes and most importantly it will make you laugh at a time we all need it. Unless you have no sense of humour... See more Read all reviews
