What to Know

Critics Consensus

Staged's second season suffers from pandemic fatigue, but seeing Michael Sheen and David Tennant back in action may be enough of a balm to make it worth the watch anyway.

Tennant and Sheen aren't the sole attractions of "Staged," but they are the main ones. Go to Full Review

You never would've believed that starring at two whiny and bickering actors could be so funny. Go to Full Review

What wins out is giving a new perspective to the outlooks of Tennant and Sheen. The discombobulated Scot and thorny Welshman have had a win -- which makes the next round of comeuppance and compromise all the more enjoyable. Go to Full Review

For one thing, every episode bristles with memorable comic lines, winning believability and an authentic undertow of increasing lockdown desperation. For another, they're only 15 minutes long. Go to Full Review

Shioka O 02/05/2023 Felt more "staged", but still fun and great watch for the guests. See more 01/28/2022 So hilarious!!!! The second season is somehow even more funny than the first one!! The cameos are great but the commentary from David and Michael are priceless!! I hope they make season 3! See more 04/29/2021 Genius, clever concept and so funny ..... See more 03/23/2021 Was very eager to watch Season 2 after bingeing Season 1 in a single sitting. Still quite funny, but think the first season had some kind of almost magical feeling where it was exactly the show I needed at the time I found it. If a third season comes out, I'd still happily watch. Or really would watch anything with Michael Sheen and David Tennant paired up together. See more susan s @Susan446 03/16/2021 Unwatchable. Self absorbed, shallow actors, shallow, self absorbed muttering. See more Read all reviews
