Improving over the first season, Season 2 is where the show starts settling into itself. The actors are becoming comfortable with the characters, and the writers begin exploring stories specific to these characters and this place. The rumblings of the Dominion are slowly introduced throughout the season as well. Overall an enjoyable season with a lot of fun episodes.

Finally getting somewhere, Season 2 of DS9 finally realized that serialized arcs had a more impressive impact, along with allowing for greater character development. Even if the episodes aren't the best, a good portion would be comparable to classic Trek, while others add some much-needed cynicism to the original concept.

A slight improvement on season 1, thank goodness, but it still lacks the excitement and good storytelling of The Next Generation. I think I miss the 'Trek' part of this Star Trek series, i.e. actually travelling through space. In season 2 the actors are settling into their characters because the performances are better, but I still can't stand Avery Brooks as the captain. Also, the writing is improving because there are actually a few passable episodes.

A decent season. The best form this season are Necessary Evil, The Wire and The Jem'Hadar.
