In the second season of "Star," Star (Jude Demorest), Simone (Brittany O'Grady), and Alex (Ryan Destiny) change their trio's name to Take Three to rebrand their image, get in Midtown CEO Ayanna Floyd's (Michael Michele) good graces, and land that coveted Midtown showcase. But personal problems keep blocking their path to success. Alex's relationship with her boyfriend Derek (Quincy Brown) is a mess. Simone struggles with mental health issues. Star deals with her feelings for her fake boyfriend Noah (Luke James) and the mysterious return of her father Brody (Stephen Dorff). Adding to Star's troubles is the return of Jahil (Benjamin Bratt), who has his own new pop duo in the works, made up of his nephew Angel (Evan Ross) and Ayanna's assistant Andy (Elijah Kelley). Star and Simone's surrogate mother and Take Three manager Carlotta (Queen Latifah) has messes of her own that can affect her charges' careers, some of which involve her transgender daughter Cotton (Amiyah Scott).

    Amazing show, outstanding cast, drama that has You on the edge of your seat. Outstanding performance from rising stars Jude Demorest, ryan Destiny, and Brittany O’Grady. Amazing performance from veterans Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt. Amazing supporting characters like Quincy Jones and Amiyah Scott. Will be Watching this show until the veRy end.
