At first i didnt give it a shot because i thought i would be too old but i was totally wrong. A nice way to open up the franchise for younger viewers and a well structured mix between stand alone stories and the main storyline. In short: Again more interesting characters as in Discovery, better dialogues (even in a kids show) than the ones in Discovery, a cool way to reintegrate Janeway and this is the show with the coolest new Starfleet Design. Trekkies watch: Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks and Prodigy. In my opinion these three are pure Star Trek and never watch Discovery again.

There are definitely a few episodes here that are real clunkers but it's a kids show so I'm grading on a curve. Some really great moments make it worthwhile if you're a hardcore fan or a kid yourself.

Apart from the truly annoying Dal R' El, I absolutely love this! Like lower decks it's a breath of fresh in the Star Trek franchise!

Quite well done for its category of kid-friendly. Gorgeous visuals, interesting characters, increasingly compelling story, solid action, all building to some nice Trek triumph moments. The "Picard" show could learn some things about pacing from this and Prodigy is galactically superior in every way to the old Star Trek animated series. I'm guessing the somewhat lower audience rating is just the hard core demographic that wants everything to be more gritty and grim (and who are more likely than most to leave a Rotten Tomatoes rating).

Being a product surely assembled for teens I would say this was pretty good and enjoyable.I believe might have compromised a bit the canon with the protostar engine though. All in all nice entertainment

A pleasant suprise given the terrible state of current Trek! This i refreshing and fun. It's he kind of show I was hoping would come along, new and original enough for younger viewers, but with satisfying and fulfilling connections back to vintage shows, that will please older viewers. Great fun!
