An amazing introduction to the clone wars while following the events of episode II.

As a "Star Wars" fan I think this short series is a very cool one to check out. It is extremely quick but I still am glad they decided to make the "Clone Wars" series with 3D animation, which I am still in the process of watching all the way through. I think in terms of 2D animation, this show has some very slick moments that look great. The storylines move quickly but everything is effectively told and it is a solid addition to the franchise that is easy to binge-watch.

Without a doubt one of my favorite cartoons of all time! Even though it's no longer considered canon, it's a must see for any Star Wars fan! The animation is fluid, the art style is unique, the action is fantastic and diverse, and season three is driven by a daily compelling narrative full of foreshadowing for Anakin's story going into the next few films. Tartakovsky knows how deliver an outstanding cartoon, and he does so here as usual.

Better than the first two prequels, which isn’t saying much

It is particularly impressive how powerful the antagonists are: Durge destroys multiple SPHA-Ts, kills several clone troopers and re-attaches his severed body after being dismembered by Obi-Wan. Ventress kills Dooku's henchman and takes his place in less than a second, gets rid of a bunch of deadly gladiators, and holds her own against Anakin in one of the greatest Star Wars duels ever. Finally, Grievous proves himself to be a complete monster as he takes on seven Jedi, killing two and injuring three, as well as successfully kidnapping Palpatine despite him being protected by some of the best Jedi in the Order. This is Genndy Tartakovsky at his best.

Love the animation. The one episode where Mace takes on a whole squad of battledroids is great

While not very story driven, I really enjoy the action

amazing animation, and great action. Characters are much better here than in the prequel films

The first part of the story bridging the gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Chapters 1-4 Gives us an introduction to the War, and shows us the first part of the Battle of Muunilnist . Chapter 5 Shows us Kit Fisto as he deals with a conflict on Mon Cala Chapters 6 and 7 Introduce us to Asajj Ventress as she battles in an arena to become Count Dooku's Assassin. Chapters 8-10 mostly wraps up the battle of Muunilinst and ends on a cliffhanger with Anakin facing off against Asajj Ventress in a starfighter. With these chapters, the focus is less on dialogue and more on Visual Storytelling. Its a good opening to the show and the widespread effect if the clone wars conflict. What it lacks for in dialogue it certainly makes up for in action. Durge makes for an interesting side villain with his skills and abilities. Given how short these are, they can all be viewed quickly as short action packed set pieces. Worth watching for any star wars fan.

The best thing to come out of the prequels was, without a doubt, this television series. One of the best aspects of this show is the way it handles the characters of the Prequel universe. If you’ve seen Revenge of the Sith, and you had problems with not knowing enough about the characters, please please please give this show a chance. So much happens in it that is important to the Star Wars canon. The show is non-stop action. While that doesn’t work in a lot of other series, it works here because the animation is very fluid. It looks real, and remember: this is pretty much all hand-drawn, which adds to the realism.
