Critic Reviews for Stargate Atlantis Season 2
All Critics (3) | Top Critics (0) | Fresh (1) | Rotten (2)
This Sci Fi Channel series has always been a pale shadow of its progenitor... heavy on action, short on thoughtfulness, it touches on wit, smarts, and true science fiction speculation only momentarily, and sometimes even seemingly accidentally.
The Stargate series represent a fairly reliable form of entertainment with hints of fascinating mythology and an emphasis on that always-elusive "fun" factor.
Although it includes some good episodes, the second season is the most forgettable and represents a transition year into a stronger future. There are too many throwaway episodes that fail to serve a larger story.
