The characters clearly loose and gain intelligence depending on wether it's needed for the plot... See more 09/22/2020 Seasons 1 - 3 inclusive are impressive. It's a typical Canadian sci-fi, well-produced, decent stories, good performances. Most episodes have an intriguing, well-executed sci-fi or philosophical premise, and some have a more emotional slant but without ever becoming downright moist. By Season 4 though, things have become a little ragged. Richard Dean Anderson's wise-cracks start to grate a little, some of the story writing becomes lazy (but not all), and the cast periodically seem to be phoning it in. Nevertheless, it's still watchable some decades after it was made. I'm hoping it picks up again for Season 5 and onwards. See more Read all reviews
