“Starstruck” Season 3 isn’t perfect, but it does push the genre forward in dynamic ways — challenging viewers to rethink their own predetermined happy endings and decide for themselves what future they want. Go to Full Review

I do think this was a good season, and a series of creative choices that I will definitely remember. But I feel like Tom and Jessie and many viewers left that hospital chapel with a sense of resolve that I don’t share. Go to Full Review

Starstruck has become a better – more interesting, more relatable, more affecting – show, one that no longer revolves around its original premise, but instead deals in distinctly un-gimmicky reflections on life’s trajectory. Go to Full Review

Starstruck keeps painting a portrait of love, life, friendship and chaos that's both clear-eyed and rosily affectionate, complete with fleshed-out and lived-in performances... Go to Full Review

Starstruck started ambitiously by taking us past where most romcoms end, and has only continued going further. Go to Full Review

Ma'ark T 12/17/2023 Season 3 of Starstruck is maybe in the running for funniest season. See more Robert C 11/25/2023 If you really enjoyed the first two seasons, it's probably best to stop there. The third season begins with a montage that fast forwards through their relationship into a breakup. We have no idea why it doesn't work, just that Tom is away and she's aways waiting for him. Why can't Jesse go with him and see the world? What's holding her back? Never addressed. She doesn't have a career or family or school or anything preventing her from spending more time with him. Liam is introduced, and he's sweet and funny and charming and handsome... But in a lot of ways he's more unreal than movie star Tom. Jessie and Liam never fight because Liam quietly puts up with Jessie's shit. They only officially start dating because her other date goes horribly. Even when he dumps her later, it is understated, and then he comes back because he's the only person, Jessie, a 34 year old woman, knows "with a car." Then, forgotten about for the duration of the episode, he waits quietly in his car. poor guy. Tom is relegated to the background mostly this season. He has a beautiful, perfect fiancee, but unfortunately he's still hung up on Jessie, who frequently calls and even visits him. Obviously Tom is not ready to move on and get married, and it's doubtful that relationship will workout given his ambivalence. Clem, who also doesn't seem like a 3-dimensional character, still probably deserves someone who actually is sure they want to marry her. The take away seems to be that Tom and Jessie are just too different to make it work, they are from different worlds and just stay that way. Tom should date a movie star, Jessie should date an electrician, and their previous love affair was dream that couldn't last. This is weirdly classist and fatalist, and we have countless real world examples of stars with their non-famous spouses and partners. In fact, those often seem to be the relationships that most often endure. Again if you were invested in the central premise of the show, stop at end of season 2. If you want to so see a long sad goodbye to that premise, watch season 3, which seems like the final season. See more taj n 10/04/2023 I really enjoyed the first two seasons. But I only made it two episodes into season three. I don't think I laughed once, and just didn't find any of it compelling. See more Darryl B 10/03/2023 Season 3 has matured into a funny and charming Rom-com. You can watch this without seeing the other two series. Easy to binge and the ending was adorable.
