The upside down scenes were more boring and Eddie was so overrated but Erica also got more useful. S4 also has the iconic max scene

Go into this season expecting everything and it'll give you more. I still get shivers when watching Max's scene (in a good way)

Stranger Things Season 4 feels bigger, darker, and heavier than what came before, but it still knows exactly why people care about this story. The mix of ’80s adventure, horror, and emotional coming-of-age drama is still there, only now everything hurts more: fear, grief, guilt, and the sense that childhood is over for good. The season sometimes stretches itself too far with long episodes and scattered subplots, and there are moments when the scale threatens to overwhelm the characters. But whenever it tightens the focus, especially around Hawkins, it regains that powerful mix of heart, suspense, and atmosphere that made the show special in the first place. Not perfect, but ambitious, emotional, and often genuinely thrilling.

the best season of all, with Vecna, and his evil master plan, Max being hunted, and Chrissie, this season has it all. and we finally get to see El's power in a more powerful way.
