When you watch these episodes from this new series, it doesn't really offer anything deeper, such as a deep dive into the characters or their relationships. There's just more plot.

Darker, grittier, and more mature than previous seasons, the fourth go-round with this fantasy/horror series channels 1980s horror, especially Nightmare on Elm Street, for its continuing narrative.

Stranger Things: Season 4 This season was the absolute best storyline, especially since El had no powers so for once in her life she had to live like a normal human, and Season 4 also gives us with one of the best episodes in the entire series, The Massacre at Hawkins Lab. Season 4 was also the scariest and most suspenseful, almost with a feeling of A Nightmare on Elm Street, but I won't give away any spoilers, but it is awesome.

Season 4 goes much bigger and darker than the previous seasons. The episodes are longer, the story is more spread out, and the show really leans into the horror side this time. I really liked Vecna as the main villain. He’s creepy, and the way his story connects to Eleven and the Upside Down adds a lot to the overall mystery. The season also gives us some great character moments, especially with Steve, Nancy, Robin, Dustin, and Max. Her storyline is probably one of the strongest parts of the season. Her struggles and the way the group tries to save her lead to some of the most emotional and memorable scenes in the entire show. That said, the season can feel a little too long at times, and having the characters split into different groups means some storylines are more interesting than others. Still, the big moments, strong performances, creepy atmosphere, and huge finale make it a really enjoyable season even if the pacing isn't always perfect.
