The show probably should have hung up its hat a season or two earlier—but it’s never easy to say goodbye, a sentiment that the Stranger Things finale ultimately proved. Go to Full Review

If you've been watching from the beginning this season manages to provide a fitting ending, with some real tearjerker moments in between the horror hijinks, which are mainly background noise at this point. Go to Full Review

For those who stuck it out, the cast are like old friends. And the finale is like a warm hug from the Duffer Brothers to fans. Pop some popcorn, open a Coke, let yourself be 12 years old again, and just enjoy the ride. Go to Full Review

If nothing else, Stranger Things’ operatic exit serves as a reminder familiarity needn’t be a bad thing when executed with such earnest conviction, and that each generation needs -- even deserves -- its own band of heroic nerds to root for. Go to Full Review

Thomas L. @RT53862084 2d Some of it was really good, but a lot of it was really bad. The characters lost most of their depth, we continued character bloat, and the final season revealed the Duffers’s personal biases against women and queer people. See more Brendan T. @JackTheSipper712 5d They butchered the final season See more Paolo F @XKP-Producer 6d Season 5 is everything a final season should be. Bigger, darker, more emotional, and packed with unforgettable moments. The sci-fi horror story stays gripping from start to finish, the cast delivers some of their best performances, and every episode feels like it matters. Cutting back the episode lengths was a smart move. After Season 4's marathon runtimes, this season is much tighter, making it far more enjoyable without sacrificing scale or emotion. And that finale? Outstanding. Easily one of the most emotional episodes of the entire series. It gives the characters the send-off they deserve while delivering an epic conclusion that actually earns its ending. Stranger Things didn't just stick the landing—it went out at the top of its game. A fantastic farewell to one of the best sci-fi horror shows ever made. See more Ava N @AvaTee Jun 8 It wasn't perfect but not sure why all the hate for Season 5. First couple episodes were blah but I really loved episode 4 onward and then the finale. It wasn't perfect. The fight scene with the Mindlfayer was very Dungeons and Dragons but maybe that was on purpose. See more Bobby S @BobTheMovieNerd Jun 8 This might be close to being as bad as season 2 for me. At first I liked the season but the finale wasn't good, there were way too many plot holes and killing El and then not killing her was a trash ending as well See more R T @RT87465883 Jun 5 Fucking garbage, hate the ending, like why did they have to kill Jane, what the fuck was that? The coming out scene is hard to watch cuz why did they made it seem like wills feelings towards mike is just a silly crush, you know! l know! that it isn’t!, also why was everyone in the room even people who he just met, it should be just the party, joyce, Jonathan and maybe hopper and nancy, it so was much more worst than my coming out. Why the fuck did they make mike not able to say the words i love you to jane?!, cuz if he really loves her he would have beg, kneeled, and especially say those words for her to stay and not sacrifice herself, honestly they freaking lobotomize mike they made him a coward, also if they didn’t made byler happen the least they should’ve done is make a scene where will confesses his feelings directly to mike, and it’s fine even if they make it mike rejecting him, so they could like get closure, or at least make a happy mileven ending. Fuck you d**fers brother🖕 See more Read all reviews
