Has some issues regarding its story, particularly close to the finale, but the overall concept, the plethora of comments, and the quality of the art of the series definitely allow it to move beyond any shortcomings Go to Full Review

Summer Time Rendering delivers great characters, a unique plot, and a masterful blend of action, horror, and science fiction. It’s only the second week of the year, but I may have already discovered my Anime Of The Year for 2023. Go to Full Review

aarya p @Arushi Dec 15 Never gonna see any other anime except this as this is THE BEST 💖BIG FAN OF STR. AND as for big thank you to author also for write or produced the MASTERPIECE 👏💝 See more Akash M Nov 30 Summer Time Rendering was one of those anime that I watched at a time when I didn’t really prefer long series. Back in early 2023 (around 22 Jan to late Feb / early March), I randomly found it on Bollyflix while I was searching for Drifting Home. I kept telling myself, "Nahi dekhna, nahi dekhna," but somehow I still ended up starting it — and thank God I did. From the beginning itself, the series pulls you in with its time-travel twist and that eerie horror vibe. This was actually the first time I ever came across the word "Doppelgänger", and it honestly blew my mind that such stories exist. The blend of mystery, supernatural elements, and looping timelines creates a very unique atmosphere. The story begins with the MC Shinpei Ajiro returning to his hometown for the funeral of his childhood friend. From there, things start getting darker and more complicated. I won’t spoil anything, because this show works best when you experience the twists first-hand — but trust me, it becomes harder and harder to predict what’s coming next. There was a time when I avoided long anime series, but this one slowly changed that mindset for me. It’s engaging, unpredictable, and has that "just one more episode" pull. The time loops may feel confusing at first, but if you pay attention, everything eventually falls into place beautifully. Overall, I’d give 8/10, and I definitely recommend it. It’s unique, it’s gripping, and it’s the kind of story that stays in your mind for a long time. If you want something a bit dark, smart, and different — this is it. See more Goofy @Goofygoober1zs 08/16/2024 IT WAS FANTASTIC :D See more Ash P @AshParth 06/16/2024 Just a head's up, there will be a fair bit of spoilers in this review. You have been warned. So, as my thoughts of this anime, it is almost perfect. I mean, it is an interesting anime which ups the suspense along with the story being complex involving shadows and time travel and Re:Zero logic as the story progresses. Now as it goes, every character is likeable as the more the story progresses when our main character loops after every death, the more everyone gets themselves involved and learn more about the shadows and the antagonists of the anime. Sure, it makes it engaging, but yes, there are problems that I have with it. One of them is the humor just doesn't work too well to an anime that leans more into the suspense as well as it's fair bit of innuendoes. The other thing is when it came to Mio having feelings for Shinpei and as she confessed, he just shrugs it off. It might be me saying it, but it did feel a little unneeded since Ushio has always been the one that Shinpei has feelings for and during the loops, he would do everything he can in order to keep her alive. The best I describe this anime is when the story progresses, the character development does improve, mainly our main lead since he is the time traveler, after all. Again, almost perfect for an interesting suspense kind of anime. 8/10. See more Real Good F @Nshvlleindie 11/13/2023 One of the best surprises you'll find, in any genre. The fact that Hulu made an original anime is odd, but man does this deliver as one of the best mysteries in a long time. There's just enough supernatural to fascinate you, but it's so well-rooted in reality that you feel the suspense creeping in, every episode. It's one of the better anime/shows in ages, and you'll want to binge it immediately. See more Ashish P 05/25/2023 Summertime Render is a nonstop action and thrill ride from the start to the very end of its flawless 24 episode run, making you feel every emotion while keeping you on the edge of your seat the whole time See more Read all reviews
