After years of facing supervillains, monsters and alien invaders, the world's most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent and comic books' famed journalist Lois Lane come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever -- dealing with being working parents in today's society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois worry about whether their sons, Jonathan and Jordan, could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang and her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing. The adults aren't the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle's rebellious daughter, Sarah. Of course, there's never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois' father, Gen. Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment's notice.

It’s not a secret, but The End and the Beginning reinforces what keeps driving this show. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are perfectly cast. Nostalgia tugs hard, but they’re just behind Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder as the best Clark and Lois.

S01-S03 were a masterpiece, Season 4 is a total disaster I am incredibly disappointed. Superman & Lois was a 5/5 show for the first three seasons, but Season 4 completely ruins the legend of Superman. The writers decided to "nerf" Clark in the worst way possible. Giving Superman a 60-year-old human heart is a joke. In every version of the lore, Superman is nearly immortal with a fast healing factor. This show ignores all logic by saying he can’t regenerate and is now a weak, aging human. Why start a show so well just to destroy the main character at the end? They turned a god-like hero into a fragile old man just to force a "sad" ending. Jonathan finally getting powers was cool, but it’s overshadowed by the "shitty" writing surrounding Clark’s heart. It feels like a totally different, lower-quality show. If you loved the first three seasons, Season 4 will only frustrate you. It’s a betrayal of the fans and the character. Don't ruin your memory of the show just stop at Season 3.

in my opinion, best season so far. it was emotion packed and made it believable and made it work between the budget cuts, cgi costs, cast members only ending up in 2-3 episodes instead of more, it was a miracle it happened. sad it didn't run for longer but so happy with how they made it work. the ending was sad but really made you feel what was going on. loved every second of it and was the highlight of my Wednesday for when it'd air (kinda)

Amazing and emotional. I literally made an account just to write a review. It really stuck the landing. The finale had me sobbing and I have never cried to any form of TV or Movie! A nice farewell to these characters and to CW. It started with Superman and it ended with Superman. A must-watch if you love Superman and its source material.

Such an emotional finale and a fantastic show. Tyler Hoechlin is one of the best actors to play superman in my opinion and Bitsie Tulloch is a great Lois Lane
