Critics Consensus

Swagger doesn't aways have the originality to back up its confidence, but excellent performances and socially conscious themes give this sports drama undeniable heart.

Love it ! Please let there be a season 2 ! Apple TV never disappoints ! After Ted Lasso my second favorite show!

A great look into the world of sports and society. Amazing basketball scenes enjoyed the series the whole way through.

Wow! Great characters and so true to real life especially in the world of youth basketball (and sports in general). KD you are leaving a legacy for so many by making SWAGGER!! Lots of life lessons to grab from each episode. Tell every mom, dad, son, daughter, coach, AAU basketball player to watch and learn. Me and my son watch weekly and discuss (and his older brother watches...both in their early 20's). Love the mixture of ethnic and economical backgrounds. 13+ recommended due to some mature situations. We have 3 more episodes in this first season and looking forward to Season 2!!

There is a lot this show gets a lot right about the elite level of U-14 club basketball and the messy amalgam of those with altruistic drive who wants to help and guide the young players and the sleazy blood sucking giant insects whose only goal is exploitation. My son played on a sponsored travelling team his sophomore and junior year on a team that sent several players to D1 and 2 college ball including one who became an NBA all-star. The young actors, particularly those portraying Jace and Chrystal, are believable and sympathetic as we feel their on court prowess and off court angst and confusion of being no longer children and in the ether world of not quite adults. Coaches are other adults are somewhat predictable.
