Tales of the Walking Dead possesses the chance to explore and play with this world-gone-mad scenario, but mostly squanders it. Telling a self-contained story in each hour, think of it as a zombie-fied bonus effort that doesn't kill much more than time.

Unfortunately "Tales" fails to really capture what TWD is about in my opinion. It starts off strong with Episode 1, I honestly think the whole Tales series could've been based around Terry Crews' Character and it would have been much more enjoyable all round. With that being said I don't feel as though this episode really had a full circle pay off at the end nor did any of the episodes. I think out of all of them this did come the closest though again a full series with this character would have been great assuming it would have included more full circle moments if not one major one at the end. Episode 4 gave an interesting insight on how nature has been reclaimed in the post apocalyptic world I enjoyed this side of it, there was one scene with Amy towards the end that didn't make much sense to me just on how the 2 main characters reacted to a certain situation, I feel it was done quite poorly. It also lacked the full circle moment the whole show was in desperate need of.

The show often loses its grip on realisim due to excessive panic and over-the-top action scenes making the story feel forced and less engaging =boring 🙄🙄

This episodic anthology series takes a fresh approach, presenting inventive stories with unique narrative styles and occasionally venturing into mystical scenarios that set it apart from the main The Walking Dead shows. While the concept is intriguing, most episodes fail to leave a lasting impact. However, "Dee" stands out, offering a compelling exploration of Alpha's origins from the main series.
