S T @SMgolf 5d It is rare to see a great series from Netflix that does not promote gay lifestyle, has excessive f words, and too many DEI inserts. This series is all about justice for students who want to learn in peace and their teachers. See more Brannagyn T @RT97033995 Aug 21 Its rare programs are harmful rather than just bad tv. You expect an updated GTO or Gokusen with a rough & ready teacher coming to teach errant students some self-reflection and self-development but the first (satisfying) slap of a bully's face is the high point. After that you realize the entire extent of the shows approach is: hit children till they stop bullying, then humiliate them, then traumatize them (with a little more physical violence thrown in) and finally punish them with expulsion and public shaming. Ignore root causes & structural problems among students & teachers, just deal with a few bad apples. Ignores 50 years of educational/child psychology on the complex issue & instead offer a bizarre 1930s throwback where teachers are meant to be feared and obeyed and a good teacher is one who instills fear and discipline and nothing more. Ludicrously simplistic power fantasy that might come from a victim of bullying but not anyone who actually studied the issue in any way. See more John G @johngalt730 Aug 20 It had some high points, but like a lot of these Korean dramas, the last episode is a total letdown. Humor where there shouldn't be. Nonsensical behavior by the characters. An unsatisfying ending. There's barely any payoff for getting invested in the story. I understand that all Korean dramas are going to turn into slapstick comedies at some point during the show, but I was just fast forwarding through certain parts just to get through the slapstick scenes. Overall, it's probably a two or three star show, but the ending is just so bad that it colors the entire experience.
