As comforting as a buttery biscuit from a friend, Ted Lasso's sophomore season is a feel-good triumph that plays into the show's strengths while giving its supporting team more time on the pitch.

The eight episodes I've seen of the new season can feel underbaked and free-floating, the writing formulaic, the plots even slighter than they were in Season 1. The inconsistency of quality has the effect of intensifying the successes. Go to Full Review

The broadening and deepening must have felt like a risk to everyone involved in a show predicated on bringing light comic relief to viewers... But it's paid off. They shot and they've scored. God bless. Go to Full Review

Ted Lasso might not be laugh-out-loud funny, and the title character's good ol' boy schtick won't be to everyone's taste, but both he and the show are blessed with an almost preternatural affability that it's near impossible not to love. Go to Full Review

See more Praneeth K Dec 14 Season 1 is v good and season 2 kept on getting better till end but season 2 is v worst— it completely went woke , made nathan dirty (out of box), giving so much to Sam obisanya in this season is so so so cringy (if u r coming to criticize that Sam is black that’s y u have hatred — there are other black players too and none of them got even 1percent of story ). That Rebecca and sam is cringiest of cringe (toooooo worst) .in season 3 also leaving out all other players and kept hanging on sam (🤢🤢🤮🤮) See more Valerio G @joegrand12 Dec 5 After season 1, it's always difficult to find a way and follow the success, but hey, this also was great and inspiring, with deep attention to human side before the sport itself, always in a comedy way, something more important for who is living in a team's sport. A must watch, going for season 3 in a row. See more George S. @GPSPROUD1 Nov 24 Everything that’s right about a series. Interesting characters, great storylines, likable, and almost every way. The show is about conflict and resolutions. I highly recommend this show. See more I D. @idTbhappy Nov 23 Can’t say enough about this tvshow. Really great, love each minute of it. See more Rotten P Nov 20 Ted Lasso Season 2 deepens its emotional core while keeping the humor and charm that made the first season so beloved. Jason Sudeikis continues to shine as Ted, balancing his signature optimism with new layers of vulnerability and personal growth. The series explores mental health, relationships, and the complexities of leadership with warmth, sincerity, and sharp wit, making each episode feel meaningful as well as entertaining. With a talented ensemble cast, clever writing, and heartfelt storytelling, Season 2 elevates the series, proving that Ted Lasso is more than a comedy—it’s a celebration of kindness, resilience, and human connection.
