Teenage Bounty Hunters benefits from its very specific focus on the sub-culture of affluent, conservative, religious suburbia. While it lampoons many of the outdated notions that exist, it never feels as if it's coming from a place of outright mockery.

Bounty Hunters is tart yet affectionate, sending up the sweet, shiny, bless-your-heart hypocrisy of Southern culture...

Both Phillips and Fellini are hugely appealing and instinctively hilarious from the outset, and series creator Kathleen Jordan has given them well-drawn yet unpredictable characters to work with and bounce off.

Teenage Bounty Hunters is a breath of fresh air in a stale, crowded playing field.
August 24, 2020
It's warm and it's weird, consistently funny, and an off-the-wall blast from beginning to end.

Watching them grow as young women... is a phrase that makes me want to gag, but it's actually one of the most charming elements of the show.

Teenage Bounty Hunters is a surprisingly enjoyable romp from start to finish. The story is unique, the casting is pretty much perfect, and there are plenty of twists and turns that you will absolutely never see coming.

The trio of Hardison, Phillips, and Fellini is certainly capable, especially given the inexperience of the younger actors, but they are given a lot to handle.

"Teenage Bounty Hunters" is not perfect television, but it's infused with the sort of small-scale, needle-sharp sensibility that can't be achieved by committee, nor, really, by anyone fearful of falling flat.
August 17, 2020
It reveals itself as a fractured story, with enough good performances that it's worth spending a little time with these characters.

This show is just as fun and irreverent as its title, but there's actually more going on beneath that surface of snark.

With a writing team led by Jordan and a director roster dotted with comedy vets, "Teenage Bounty Hunters" sizzles when it steps back and lets [Blair and Sterling's] interactions flourish.

Netflix's "Teenage Bounty Hunters" has a premise preposterous on paper, but surprisingly alive on screen.
August 17, 2020
For better or worse, the bounty hunting gimmick is no more than that: a gimmick... But Teenage Bounty Hunters is also fun as heck.
August 14, 2020
In spite of the lulls, when the show works, it's vibrant and hilarious, full of emotional punches, laugh-out-loud moments, and thrilling surprises.
August 14, 2020
Teenage Bounty Hunters is propelled by excellent comic performances by Phillips and Fellini, who don't look all that similar but do share a fizzy chemistry, especially in their crackerjack-timed quips and clairvoyant communications.
August 14, 2020
Brisk and funny, warm and wonderfully oddball, Teenage Bounty Hunters is a binge everyone - except maybe Old Testament God - can get behind.

Teenage Bounty Hunters is more than watchable thanks to introducing the world to a pair of bright stars, hyperactive dialogue, and bingeable, though not wholly original, storylines.
