Charles Solomon Los Angeles Times 07/11/2018
"Teen-age Mutant Ninja Turtles"... boasts the year's silliest title for a miniseries. But a preview of the first half-hour episode suggests that the five-part cartoon fails to live up to the promise of its wonderfully absurd name. Go to Full Review

The feel of the entire series is markedly lighter than its printed counterpart... Despite these differences, the first Ninja Turtles is still noteworthy. Go to Full Review
Nathan Birch Uproxx 07/12/2018
The first thing you notice if you revisit the "classic" 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon is how surprisingly good the early episodes are. Go to Full Review

The final episode of Season 1 (Shredded & Splintered) features one of the series' most exciting storylines, with Shredder daring the Turtles to enter the Technodrome, to retrieve a device that would change Splinter back into human form. Go to Full Review

Forged S @RT91207856 01/10/2024 It's hard to view this show as a comic book show. While some fans of the IP remember this cartoon and the subsequent live action movies as the origin of these characters, other snobbish purists have come along and renounced the show as having anything to do with the comics. Both have, in their own way, created iconic storylines that have shaped the characters and the brand as a whole, a brand that's lasted for three decades (with a recent movie) See more william d @Cardsrule 08/07/2023 One of the best Animated tv shows ever made.
