Right to the end, "The 8 Show" refuses to caricature even its most seemingly loathsome characters. All of them were driven to madness by the harsh, empathy-less world they lived in long before they accepted their invitation to the game. Go to Full Review

The pacing is deliberate and urgent, without creating rushed storytelling, and when this is combined with the suspenseful and dreadful actions, the storytelling will grab you and compel you to watch. Go to Full Review

The 8 Show might be as dark as Squid Game, but it’s definitely more wryly funny... Go to Full Review

Viewers are likely to recognise The 8 Show as a blatant attempt to piggyback on the achievement of the most successful Netflix show of all time, but so long as they are being entertained they may give it more time. Go to Full Review

My H @hly212274 Feb 27 It deserves more attention. Ryu Jun yeol, My boy's acting is so good. See more Selim @Flare.Selim Jan 1 The 8 Show fails as social commentary by choosing cheap provocation over intellectual depth. It confuses sadism with substance. The core issue is narrative laziness: the show uses physical torture as a shortcut for character development. Breaking humans through pain is a biological fact, not a profound insight into human nature. Instead of strategic resistance—like a collective hunger strike to sabotage airtime—the characters act like "primitive apes" just to justify the next shock scene. The show seems afraid that the audience might get bored if the characters actually used their brains, so it trades logic for cruelty. It’s not "deep"; it’s manipulative nihilism. We literally pay for subscriptions to be insulted by a series that claims to criticize exploitation while actively exploiting the viewer's nerves for clicks. A total waste of potential. 🥀 See more Mingcusine Nov 25 Better than squid game! See more Veronica K Oct 30 If you like things like Alice in borderland, Squid game, and others alike this is a must see. The acting and overall message of the show was great. Only thing I personally didn't like that much was the ending. Otherwise, absolutely great show. See more Ludovica A. @ludoarc3 Oct 30 Incredibile show! Every episode is more and more interesting. Super underrated and 100% recommend watching.. See more VITALII H @freakynickison Oct 26 If you liked "Squid Game" then you will like this show. 8 strangers got themselves into a money game. The game takes place in the building where each player has its own numbered room that was randomly picked by them at the very beginning of the game. They are getting paid huge amounts of money just for being in it, and they need to do everything possible in order to make the game last as long as possible. But each room has it's own amount paid per hour and there's when conflict occurs. It gets violent, greed takes over, stronger players are getting advantage of the weaker ones, u know the drill. The show has 8 episodes, it somewhat feels short but it's intense. At the same time the game itself could've been more diverse. What I appreciate is the way human psychology was studied for the result we got. The show is funny, scary, entertaining and exciting. Not groundbreaking tho. See more Read all reviews
