The Audacity takes an absurd look at the outsized egos of the Silicon Valley elites building our future. Tech CEO Duncan Park grapples with an increasingly unhinged public persona, threatens to expose his ethically compromised therapist JoAnne Felder (Sarah Goldberg), and squares off against eccentric billionaire Carl Bardolph (Zach Galifianakis). As Big Tech's influence grows, the overconfident, morally bankrupt minds leading the charge begin to unravel, proving the architects of tomorrow can barely manage their lives today.

AM J @AMJORDAN Jul 26 I have no idea why so many critics liked this show - but the audience score is the correct one. In spite of a great cast, it's wholly unwatchable. I have never seen such a large group of unlikable characters on a single show. They're all genuinely terrible people, totally without redemption. And the sharp wit and great jokes that could save the show are nowhere to be found. It's just unpleasant and downright unenjoyable. Don't bother. It's not for everyone, for sure. But it's great. It has humor, and substance, great dialogue, great acting. It really hits the nail on the head in terms of themes relevant to current events and our existential future. I'm puzzled why this show did not get more universal acclaim. Maybe some people were expecting more of a straight comedy, like Silicon Valley? It's darkly humorous, but not that kind of comedy. Did some people not stick with it? Probably. It's really hits its stride halfway through, and takes a more serious turn after the initial setup. Were the characters offputting? Definitely. Hard to find someone to root for here. Almost every character is kind of despicable in their own way. But you could say the same thing about the Sopranos. In any case, I thought this was a really great underrated show.
