Bachelor BRAD WOMACK considered by many to be "the most hated Bachelor" in the series' history for rejecting all of the women he met during his initial journey as the Bachelor returns for another chance at love. Brad has spent the last three years undergoing intensive therapy, which took him on a painful journey of self-discovery, leading to personal revelations about his commitment issues. Now he is ready to make a genuine commitment to a relationship, as he chooses from among 30 bachelorettes. But will the bachelorettes, knowing Brad's history, question his intentions, or will they be open to the possibility of falling in love? In the 15th season premiere, Brad, 37, returns to the Malibu mansion to begin his journey, but is caught completely off guard when host CHRIS HARRISON escorts in two surprise guests: DeANNA PAPPAS and JENNI CROFT! To add to his anxiety about returning as the Bachelor, Brad must now face the final two women he scorned three years ago.

The other one-on-one date finds Brad and a stunning woman on an incredibly romantic date to a private carnival. On a group date with 15 women, Brad will have the chance to see another side of their personalities as they shoot public service announcements (PSAs) for the American Red Cross but it turns into a face-off between some of the ladies. And, unfortunately, some of the bachelorettes will not have a date at all before the next rose ceremony, encouraging them to aggressively steal any time they can with Brad. Then Brad gets down and dirty with 12 very competitive bachelorettes as they shoot their own action adventure movie, with each battling to become his leading lady. Emily, the sweet, single mom, is chosen for the week's final individual date, but will she be able to reveal her tragic past to Brad? An emotional Bachelor makes some personal inroads with the help of his therapist, letting him be more vulnerable with the women. Critic Reviews for The Bachelor Season 15

If you thought Tiger Woods had to make a spectacle of public contrition, that's nothing compared to what [Brad] Womack's had to endure for having the unmitigated gall to not propose to some babe in a halter dress.

And while it is refreshing for the Bachelor himself to have the lowest self-esteem in the group, am I alone in wishing that the remaining "ladies" were just a teensy bit more psychotic?

While many shows lose their luster, incredibly, The Bachelor manages to become more compelling each season. This being the fifteenth. In the end, though, the meet-and-greet session was fairly vanilla.

Maybe this is a peculiarly male point of view, but I found the premiere episode of the latest Bachelor go-round, aka "Brad Womack: The Squeakquel-With-Pecs," one of the most retrograde things I ever remember seeing on television.

... the beauty about this season is that the entire time, the lighting is going to be exquisite. It is so magnificently and finely controlled that this season of The Bachelor is well aware of how it has to step up and prove it's mission of love.
