The Bachelor: Season 23 Reviews

I don't understand what point the producers are trying to make here by having all of these women relay whether or not they've ever had sex. It's just awkward and comes across as a little shame-y.

Seen one way, Colton's season romanticizes conservative values and cultural pillars. Seen in another, it invites viewers to gawk at people with right-leaning values. Neither mode of watching is particularly pleasurable.

The virginity jokes were simply an accessory to the three-hour-long episode's main mission: killing time with at least an hour's worth of filler in order to maximize profits on what will surely be one of the season's best-rated nights.

Producers are milking his storyline for all it's worth. And it gets old. Fast.

Two women wore the exact same dress. You know who didn't have to worry about that? The sloth.

This was a dog-heavy episode of The Bachelor, and therefore a good episode of The Bachelor.

R.I.P to the most interesting contestant this season, you were too good for this franchise, even if you were a discount version of Alexis's dolphin-shark from Nick's season.

Personally, I kind of enjoyed Catherine's brand of bonkers in the first episode.

Unfortunately, I think the question asked the entire season will be, "Who is Colton going to lose his virginity to?"

This is a man campaigning to be the Bachelor even as he plays the Bachelor.

Not all of Colton's gals made an impression, but the goils who did made a very strong impression indeed.

It's also not a good sign when the majority of the lead-up to the action of the season is the host and the Bachelor sitting around going "A lot of people think that this was a bad decision but it's ... fine?" for 50 minutes.
