A young chef from the fine dining world comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he's used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother's suicide. As Carmy fights to transform both the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveals itself as his chosen family.

It’s the kind of rich character development that’s missing from most TV and films. Like in a great sports movie, the thrill is in seeing each team member working in synchronicity, lest the whole performance fall flat.

Jeremy Allen White is still great on The Bear, but credit to the creative team for realizing that this is a show that works best as a true ensemble and not as a star vehicle with some meaty supporting roles.

A visual and directive masterpiece. The Story is great and the flow works perfectly. Some episodes were a little confusing because they are in the past or somewhere else. This could have been fixed with simple subtitles. One of my favorite storylines and connections are the one of carm with the bakery boy and the bakery boy teaching carms baker. And the restaurant teaching carms cousin how fancy stuff works. Such great character development.

The best season by far (I’ve only seen 1 and 2) because of its intensity and backstory build ups. It includes things I did not expect or think of before hand. Very amazing piece of work.
