Longtime college friends Harper, Quentin, Lance, Murch, Jordan, Robyn, Candace and Shelby face the midlife challenges of marriage, parenting, health, romance, work and identity as they revisit and redefine their friendships. Harper gets the opportunity to turn his book "Unfinished Business" into a movie as he aspires to elevate his literary standing and lifestyle. Quentin gets married and struggles to take over the family business from his obstinate father. Lance discovers new passions as he faces difficult parenting challenges. Jordan struggles to find a work-life-love balance on her journey toward self-care. Candace and Murch reframe their relationship as she pursues higher education and he fights for respect. Robyn searches for peace and her true place in the world. Shelby struggles to be taken seriously as more than a Real Housewife.

Here’s the thing with The Best Man: The Final Chapters. It’s a full-blown TV series bonus extension of a film fans doubted would even get a sequel until 2013. Yet somehow it still doesn’t feel like enough.

This conclusion is great for fans of the original The Best Man series; others might be a little lost because the show expects viewers to have prior knowledge. But The Final Chapters offers all viewers a fun time watching an all-Black cast of characters.

Episodes 1 and 2 were worth the watch. However, it gets flat, boring and predictable from here. If you loved the very first movie, you should skip the series. The script was bad, the cast tried to bring it to life, but The Best man should be allowed to rest in peace at this point.

Best TV series I've seen in years. I absolutely loved it and now have the feelings you get when you can't find anything to watch comparable. Loved it would love a season 2 3 and 4.

I was looking forward to this because I loved the movies. I love seeing the gang back together again as they say but this series was disappointing. It's basically the movies split up into a episodes with the added woke sentiments which was not needed at all.

So damn good! I have loved these characters since day one and getting this in depth with them made them that much better! Every actor and actress was on point the entire time. The storyline was fast moving, deep, funny and deeply entertaining. I'm so glad we got 8 episodes instead of another movie. It was a great choice. My only complaint is that it's over!
