The drama is about patent infringement, but made entertaining by the cast of oddball characters. Go to Full Review

The narrative is told with a great eye, and even though it's not a tremendously mysterious series (we know where it's going to end in a trial) it builds tension without concealing information in disingenuous ways. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The Billion Dollar Code does stand out is in the conviction with which it supports its creed... In an age where cynicism is an all too frequent response [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Capo 09/17/2023 A well crafted drama miniseries, albeit it was incredibly romanticized and fictionalized. We all enjoy rooting for the small guy in a cynical world of huge monopolies trampling everyone else, but we are shown interactions with people that never happened, and the whole thing was framed as a great injustice. Truth is, it was Art+Com at fault, as the non-profit SRI TerraVision existed years before Art+Com Terravision would be launched. Which funnily enough some Art+Com employees did witness live (and perhaps used as inspiration for both functions and name). It's possible that had Art+Com been the real first creator, we would not have been able to enjoy a great selection of 3D maps. Copyrighting entire concepts and broad technologies is only a detriment to humanity. Given the huge discrepancies for a series that was meant to be representation of reality, I don't believe it can be considered for a high rating, even if it has been very enjoyable had it been fictional only. 'The Billion Dollar Code' takes you back to the sad but incredible story of the two visionaries Juri and Carsten and over time makes you deeply feel for them See more Daniel O @Olshansk 02/12/2022 Not quite Halt and Catch Fire, but a great show nonetheless, telling the story of something we all use and don't know the background of. The final outcome is quite upsetting, but the show was still filmed in a way that leaves you optimistic as a whole. Great actors, Amazing scenes, especially the scenes created back in the 90s in Berlin! I can only agree with everything, as I know being a German that back then Computer didn't really exist in German Households! My parents even denied to buy it as they didn't think much of it and thought it would have negative effects on children! I literally had goosebumps sometimes, as I got so involved in the story and got emotional at the end. It's such a Shame that they invented something no one could even imagine at that time! It was the biggest invention of that era, which is still being used and appreciated! Although, Google Earth couldn't really improve the copied invention much more than TERRAVISION created it! Even though, there's much more technology available nowadays than back in the 90s! It also showed us again that Powerful people like Brian and big Companies like GOOGLE can buy everything! They got away so easily and no one ever knew anything about TerraVision till today! Justice was NOT served again and Joachim Sauter died without justice RIP 💐😔 I really wish they could get justice somehow and also get a compensation! I know it doesn't change anything, but they deserved it! See more Michael W @mawilps 10/27/2021 This Netflix miniseries was really good. Leonard Scheicher, Marius Ahrendt, Misel Maticevic, Mark Waschke, Lavinia Wilson, and the rest of the cast did a fantastic job in this series. This true story about two men from Germany going up against Google for patent infringement of their ideas was inspirational, dramatic, and insane. Google is a coward for lying under oath and not admitting to anything they did wrong. They're just way too greedy and obsessed with power. People like that can never be trusted. If you're a Netflix member, you should watch this series sometime. It's worth watching and it'll make you realize that there are people in this world who deserve recognition and people that don't.
