Spades should get an Oscar for Red. Yes the who is Red probably dragged and the fact he’s clearly katrina was a little far fetched but a fun jaunt Him and dembe is a class struggle of love vs the moral compass of different men. We forget Red is a terrorise and mass murderer but we feel compassion because he is truly torn by his love for Liz. Did Liz becoming annoying being the catalyst for many deaths ? Yes. Did the task force act like simpletons way too often ? Yes but Never have I stayed glued to 20 episode series and downloaded what quotes Red made Ever . Season 8 was a flop and yes I do think Red showing who he was in the katrina arc would’ve made an epic season but hey ho. Who cares who Raymond 'really' was? Dembe made it clear in the final episode exactly how we should remember him. A masterful scene and performance. I found the conclusion breathtaking and unforgettable. Yes, I was a die hard fan throughout the entirety of the show and never found myself hard done by in any episode - I simply craved more. I thought it would be impossible to finish over 200 episodes in a way that would satisfy me at all, but I will happily eat my fedora hat! Bravo!!
