What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Book of Boba Fett could never match the adventures that existed in fans' imaginations for decades, but it earns its commission with spectacular set pieces and Temuera Morrison's commanding presence.

Some simple pleasures transcend questions of good or bad, like watching Boba Fett fight a massive battle droid out of Mass Effect while astride his pet rancor. Or watching a Baby Yoda fling himself at his daddy for a mid-battle hug. Go to Full Review

The Book of Boba Fett was a series of compounding mistakes. Its best feature was to deliver a Mandalorian sequel that could have been a self-contained film. Go to Full Review

Favreau scattered story crumbs onto the table and expected hungry viewers to squish them together and call it cake... It's a short-term high, but I believe this business is going destroy this franchise expansion if it's replicated in the spinoffs to come. Go to Full Review

While the series starts strong by leaning on star Temuera Morrison's strong ability and his connection to ingenious storylines, the show ultimately feels more compelled to set up the Star Wars expanded universe then telling a coherent narrative. Go to Full Review

Disney left its content farm out in Tatooines suns for far too long, a wilted mess of a commodity masquerading as a television show. What a sad showing, not just for Star Wars, but for art itself. Go to Full Review

Kat L @Katpurr 4d With a few minor exceptions, (like the garish scooter gang), this short series really connected with me. I was especially moved by the Tusken Raider segments, and Fett’s quest redemption was entirely unexpected. I had assumed it would just be an action/revenge premise. But it was so much more!! Ultimately, I do think this could’ve been trimmed down by one episode. But then again, it would’ve been sad if they trimmed out the Rancor or Cad Bane. And although there are many that bitch about it, I also enjoyed seeing Mando and Grogu here… Not to mention Luke Skywalker and Asoka. The Book of Boba Fett really deserves a second read. See more Aditya R @RT63095738 Jun 13 LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY!!! See more Jude M. @RT74733850 May 31 It feels more like The Mandalorian Season 2.5 than its own show, but that’s not really a bad thing. The story has its ups and downs, but it’s cool seeing Boba Fett’s journey continue, and the connections to the larger Star Wars story make it worth watching. See more Emir G @RT37799802 May 31 If you are a fan of the movies and the extended universe, it's worth a watch. You learn some cool stuff about the Sand People and their way of life, and you also see more of Tatooine. There is not much else to talk about, except the last two episodes are directly connected to The Mandalorian Season 3. So, if you are thinking about watching The Mandalorian, you must watch at least the last two episodes. See more Jasmine W @jasniquejewels May 27 "I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold" one great thing that I’ll say about this spin-off, although it technically is the mandalorian season 2.5 is that I love that we get to see more boba fett and more fennec because I think she’s a great character and definitely wanted to see more of them. although the first half of episodes started off slow watching boba fett feel completely healed was satisfying to watch and the second half is where I felt the plot picks up. the scene where luke trains grogu and ahsoka say's "so much like you’re father" just reminds me why I love star wars. also CAD BANE AURA FARMING!!! this show if you have the time is worth watching because I think it gives a bit more story to din-djarin and his character. I do think the darksaber could’ve been used as more of an important weapon. razor crest > N-1 starfighter but also I love them both for different purposes. See more Arush A @RT61219216 May 23 Mando and Grogu saved the show. Watch it only for them. Boba Fett’s past was boring, instead they should have shown his past dynamic with Cad Bane or smth. The politics at Tattooine was interesting but they didn't focus on it much sadly. The music was nice. I only recommend Eps 5,6,7. See more Read all reviews
