It does deal with issues of aging but also has the characters walk across 20 miles of desert in a day as a casual 2 minute plot point. A group of seniors in a retirement community find out that something creepy is going on. One thing that I love about this is that a young (probably thirties) security guard starts s relationship with seventy year old (but still incredibly hot) Geena Davis. This turns the Hollywood archetype of seventy year old man with a woman in her thirties. Great series. Enjoyed it very much, and the ending wraps it up well. See more Tiffani A @Gizmo777 Aug 30, 2026 The actors who survived the first / second episode … their acting is pretty terrible especially Gena Davis she tried WAAAAAAAAAAY to hard to represent herself as a "cool art teacher" and Judy is also a terrible. I get what they are literally struggling to achieve and it does not hit the mark. We don’t have to have it so shoved in our face that these older people are trying to relive their glory days…. And I’m sorry there’s no friggin way a young man would be attracted to an older woman who can barely say any word with an ‘s’ because her face is 99% plastic and filler. I get it she was a cool concert lady back in the 1930s ok but get real. Bill Pulman was the best actor they had. ‘Sam’ is a good actor and character the side pieces screen time should have been dropped down to almost non existent. Season 1 had me hooked from beginning to end. Great story, atmosphere, and characters, with an incredible cast that brought it all to life. It feels like a fantastic mix of Stranger Things and Cocoon, with its own unique charm. Congratulations to the entire cast and everyone involved! Highly recommended, definitely worth watching.
