By the end of “The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies,” the stakes have been clarified, setting up plenty of fireworks for the final three episodes of the season.

My favorite episode in the season so far, and it was by and large the least violent…it captures exactly what I like about [The Boys], which is a psychological drama that is about being a superhero or fighting with super heroes.
