Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Boys stays true to its form and completes its mission with ample panache, narrative pay-off, and an excess of blood and guts to deviously glorious effect.

While the political satire doesn’t always land, diabolism prevails -- The Boys will be The Boys.

The Boys’ latest comeback is proving to be promising, though, in a way that bodes well for the conclusion of a series that once felt profane, fresh, and exciting. Go to Full Review

The show’s fifth and final season has a familiar structure... But it stays strong – there’s even more gore and screw-loose social media commentary. Go to Full Review

The Boys used to feel like catharsis. Now it feels like the worst history lesson ever. It's a drag. Go to Full Review

Matthew M @RT72497936 6h Left wing propaganda based on fake narratives. They put their political views first and the Boys story second. You can tell where Seth Rogan had his say, first with a Sup with a giant dong that he beats people with then another with a giant set of balls that he beats people with. It's like it was written by a 13 year old with TDS. Can't wait for this show to finally wrap up. See more Filip W @RT47243089 11h Worset season, no coherent plot, the gore jokes this season were just disgusting misunderstanding same with sprinkles of bestiality and profanity. See more Mortal T @Kostas871 12h There isn't an accurate word to describe the level of decline. The story is terrible, the plot is extremely unreasonable and the characters are ALL unlikable. Terrible dialogue which basically is profanity with no reason and cringy erotic confessions. Just unwatchable. What a waste of a what could have been a good sci-fi action series. See more Luis J @RT94527498 15h The Boys es para mi una serie buena, sangrienta, violenta, pero con corazón, la quinta temporada tuvo momentos asombrosos con un poco de relleno pero se entiende que era para desarrollar a los personajes antes del final definitivo, en estos momentos estoy esperando los ultimos 2 capitulos titulados The Frenchman, the Female and the Man Called Mother's Milk y Blood and Bone, ojalá y sea un final apocaliptico que me haga decir WOW!!! See more atreu73 G @RT64249060 1d Ok. This turned into a soap opera pretty quickly. I don't know why, I guess they don't have the budget. But then that's when the writers come in and save the day. So my question is. Where did all the writers go and fast forwarding through the dialogue became the standard? I don't know. If each episode lasted about 30 minutes leaving out stuff that's been said again again it would have been much better. See more R S @R.Sinha 1d This season prompted me to write my first show review. Besides the tomatometer in trailer, it was oversold like anything. However it falls very very short of expectations. THe first episode was satisfying, at least in so far as the las dialogues delivered (I could quibble about how speedsters should be written logically but honestly its variable and forgivable) So many things feel plain stupid now, embodied by 'Sister Sage' followed by Soldier Boy's amygdala Deception and diappointment particularly with Butcher - we were promised a dark path of ruthlessness, and butcher feels written by AI without a single satisfying scene of him (if any). The story (earlier seasons) had so much promise. THe world still has so many things but they are all being wasted. I have read reddit comments/theories more satisfying and poignant than the season so far (episode 5) It (S5) starts off like a soap, probably planned like it too. Shock scenes, pp jokes, filler galore, hollow deaths.. no heart See more Read all reviews
