Some of the dialogue makes no sense, and the friendship between the girls feels underdeveloped and barely explored. That said, the cast is good, and if you're looking for something light and easy to watch, it’s a decent choice. See more Tobias K @Tobiassssssss Jun 19 Mixing up Bridgerton in style and The Summer I Turned Pretty in character dynamics, it's far from novel, what shouldn't be a dealbreaker to watch this show, for this sets the tone perfectly. The almost exclusive focus on the female characters and the regular pitting of cultural differences between the Brits and the Americans make two of the main strengths. The purposefully anachronistic soundtrack and the romantic tensions add enough reasons to watch the young cast let love and sisterhood florish in gorgeous attire. If only the several plotlines and character arcs would have been treated equally, Nan's story wouldn't feel like the only one that matters. Surely, this can be improved in a second season.
