Tv Season Info

Series 2 of Lifetime's sexy series drama "The Client List" continues the saga of Riley Parks (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Texan housewife turned call girl. As the season opens, ex-husband Kyle (Brian Hallisay) has reappeared. He grows angry over Riley's intimacy with his brother Evan (Colin Egglesfield), but must wrestle with bigger issues, including a police investigation that draws undue attention to Riley and threatens to unveil her secret life. Meanwhile, changes take place at work including a new hire, Nikki Shannon (Laura-Leigh) who stirs distrust among her co-workers, and long-buried secrets regarding masseur Derek's (Rob Mayes) past. Signs of trouble on the homefront also materialize, including delinquent behavior from Kyle and Riley's son Travis (Tyler Champagne). Later, the law's crackdown on prostitution threatens Riley - and she's horrified to discover who is leading the investigation.

"The Client List" is also getting confident enough in its characters and their soap-style life dramas that it's spending less time with Victoria's Secret.

[Riley's] constant wrestling with her conscience, as well as her desire to legitimately help others while she is working, makes her both likable and relatable.

It appears we're in for drama of a whole different ilk this season.

The underlying plot about a mom who will do anything to support her family actually has a rather wholesome foundation - and virtually mirrors ABC's new drama Red Widow, except Client List is done with a sense of fun and flair.
