A five-part documentary series that chronicles the evolution of comedy within the walls of a Los Angeles club called Mitzi Shore's Sunset. "The Comedy Store" brings to life the legends, heartbreak, and the history that were created at The Comedy Store over the last 47 years. Former stand-up comedian, Mike Binder, highlights one of pop culture's greatest practices of comedy with never-before-seen, archived footage and incisive, emotional interviews with some of the greatest and biggest names in comedy.

Had "The Comedy Store" been more focused on story and less on free-wheeling chats, it might have accurately captured The Store as Binder and so many other comedians see it.

Excellent look inside the ups and downs of this iconic venue. It was great to see some of the roots of great comedy and the forces that made the place what is and was.

I went with 2 1/2 stars for this docu. series. I thought that it was really interesting and went into depth with the comedians, and what they went through while at their time at The comedy Store. The only negative thing that I can say about this series was that it was only 5 episodes. This series gives the people and fans of comedy/comedians and of The Comedy Store a a behind the curtain look if you will, 2 1/2 stars.
