Gabriel P @RT91834991 Dec 31, 2024 Exposed obvious abusive, bullying, and manipulative relational dynamics from Swan towards her inner circle, and its self-reinforcing nature within the inner circle. When you state up front that you’re not going to create a safe space, it opens the door for manipulative tactics to take on the appearance of “authenticity”, when it’s really just supporting a lot of unchecked abusive behavior. I hope people truly interested in healing stay away and find better qualified healers and practitioners. See more Nick W @RT44220659 Dec 4, 2024 Despite what some folks are saying here, the scenes that impacted me most were the unedited long form conversations between Teal and her students and her inner circle. They speak for themselves and paint a truly concerning picture of Teal’s seemingly unconscious and shadowy aspects. I don’t doubt she has helped many people and has genuine wisdom in moments, but it seems we are in the age of self-proclaimed teachers who garner a massive following and aren’t screened by any reputable lineage or mentor. This can, and seemingly does in this case, lead to an abuse of power and harm caused by overlooking of growing shadow aspects the teacher has supposedly “transcended.” This is a fantastic documentary - it is moody, absorbing, and utterly fascinating. I can see that the film team did take some editing liberties as they stitch together the story, but I didn’t find this misleading - you’ll see the same in most documentaries or docuseries. I admire the directors for a brave capturing of a phenomenon that I believe is much bigger than just Teal Swan. Juliana was forced against her will to live in a community in the US, Teal Swan is apparently bossy in her home and some people just don't like her, this can only mean it is a cult. See more Jun 12, 2022 I am a follower of Teal Swans work, i even appear in the first episode, but I'm extremely disappointed in the editing of this docu series and it appears to have a hidden agenda clearly by how they edited Audio and footage from different screens, months and even years to support this narrative again. From a sole production level, the editing was poor and by episode two, they had lost me. The dramatic passes and music also didn't fit the story. See more Jun 12, 2022 Initially, I found it quite entertaining but by the 3rd or 4th episode it started to grate on my nerves. Really wanted to like Teal, as I'm a firm believer in tapping into the universe to get answers, some resolution with deep seated issues. However, Teal has found a way to only focus on the negativity, so much so, she's confusing her own past regressions with those she's trying to save, even if there's nothing to find. Because they are easy targets, she has brainwashed them, giving the same message to each vulnerable participant - they were all abused in their childhood, even if they can't remember it, and their parents were complicit (at the very least). Teal's solution; focus on the negative and have everyone disavow their parents or other loved ones. Then it becomes abundantly clear that everyone is to make Teal the center of THEIR universe, as this is their "holy savior" and the only way to move forward in their lives. At times, it's painful to watch, as the woman in the center of all this, is still so damaged from her past trauma that she's really not in a good position to help others, until she's forced to reckon with her own demons. I have yet to see any positive path implemented, so her unsuspecting followers can heal & move forward with their journey of life. If it wasn't for Teal's narcissistic behavior, and her petty jealousies, she would definitely be onto something.
